See if they are fodders or annoying ones, try to reach and kill most of them just the turn after they spawn. Those are the real danger.Īlso check each Spawning ennemies. Most ennemies take 75 delay each turn, but somes take 30-50. It's fine to overburst a character if you can dispatch an other one closeby without overbursting her, or if no ennemies is in range who will play more than once. If I can't kill everyone in range by overbursting, I see if I can kill some and move out of the other's range. Until I'm sure there is no way I'll play again before those in range, I try to not overburst. If not, i play without and take an other turn. If they can hit before I play again, I try to overburst to kill them.

Then I check the time-bar to see which ennemy can play before my character if they don't overburst, and who is in their range. So Ennemies will come closer at their first turn ( even in fighting range if they can), then it's my turn again ( even dog-like creatures should not be able to play again before you at the start) The key is to never overburst if you are not obligated to without letting an ennemy take his turn in range. I analyse the map and compare ennemies pack to maximum damage I can inflict with a character, and then dispatch them accordingly to deal with them ( usually, blademaster go for high HP/armor ones, and shieldbearer to high evasion ones (because x3 hit) Also, if gunner can attack first turn I do so, if not, I go for big packs of ennemies or a distant one. I usually play first turn agressive, go the further away possible without overbursting in the direction of most annoying/fast ennemies (infected, larvae, the dog-like creatures). I don't know for sure how it works after act III, because I did not pass the third boss in my first remembrance ( I was very successfull during normal fights, but got too damaged by the first two bosses), But even in era 3 I took little to no damage like this. Currently I am in Era4 (after the Era with Child). Most of them only have 2 of those ( bosses are a huge exception with 4+ AP), and will often use at least one for moving, but can use both for attack if they already are in range.Īny tips/guide on taking no damage/using at least hp skill as much as possible? I am really struggling. they act more like in xcom, with Action Points. Originally posted by Akameka:Ennemies don't use the same system than you. It's better to take a backstab (+25% damage) than 2 frontal hits (+100% damage). So the ennemy have to move and waste an AP to get in fighting range. If they have to move, they can't attack in the same turn.Īlso, in the eventuallity you are engaged in melee fight, it's better to get at least one tile of distance before you end your turn. Often they will try to get some distance with their only action allowed.Īs for melee fighters, they can attack you only if you are in a tile right next to them. So if there is at least one tile between you and them, they will use their only AP to move and end their turn without attacking.įor ranged ennemies, usually they won't attack you first turn.

When the fight begin, or when an ennemy spawn, they only have one AP. Most of them only have 2 of those ( bosses are a huge exception with 4+ AP), and will often use at least one for moving, but can use both for attack if they already are in range.
